TRUISM
| Truism, the band, is a group of multicultural musicians from the Chicago land area brought together to produce one sound in jazz, neo-soul and gospel. The band was founded by Terence Lee, basses, in January 2004. It has performed at the Spoken Word Café supporting talent such as Leon Rogers of 92.3 FM, comedians Dee Ray, B Cole, Wildcat, Damon Wayans and a host of local artists from the Chicago land area. Truism’s goal is to perform all over the world and to record its first CD soon. They could be heard at Jack’s Java, 9649 South Western in Chicago, every 2nd Thursday of each month for the last year. Terence Lee is the CEO for T3 Productions. During his career as a gifted musician he has played for gospel artist Yolanda Adams and has shared the stage with Fred Hammond, Allen and Allen, Mike E former guitarist for Commissioned. He has toured the east coast and Midwest with several play productions like “Love the Hurt Away” and “The Other Woman”. Lee was the producer and music director for “God’s Hand” and “God’s Heartbeat” performed at the Dusable Museum in Chicago. Lee wrote and produced the song Trinity on the CD, Angel, by Tyris Washington. He is currently music director for Full Gospel Christian Assembly in Hazel Crest, Il.
